SEFE Energy awarded Ecovadis Silver

We’re very proud to announce that, after making significant progress on our sustainability initiatives in 2021, SEFE Energy has been awarded a Silver medal rating by the international sustainability ratings provider, EcoVadis.

The Silver award puts us in the top 25% of the 75,000 companies that EcoVadis has assessed in 2021. The accreditation covers four holistic areas of sustainability: Environmental, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

“The world’s opinions on sustainability and CSR are changing and it’s becoming more and more important that these philosophies are core to a business’ operations,” says David Carroll, Senior Corporate Account Manager at SEFE Energy. “This has been a priority for our organisation and employees for a long time, but we know it’s just as important for our customers, partners and suppliers to know they’re working with a responsible business.”

The accreditation process, which took six months to complete, required SEFE Energy to prepare a comprehensive survey of our internal practices and operations for each of the areas measured. It sits alongside our Investors in People Gold accreditation as one of two significant awards that demonstrate our commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Although this is a massive achievement for SEFE Energy, there’s more to do as we continue on our sustainability journey. We’re now working on plans to address the actions outlined within our EcoVadis report, with the aim of improving our sustainability practices even more in the coming years.

In addition to achieving this accreditation, SEFE Energy is working to promote sustainability for customers by providing more low-carbon energy products, including carbon offsetting and renewable energy.
